For those of you who have purchased To Honor and Cherish, you found out that my second novel, For Richer or Poorer, is coming soon. Even if you didn’t love Lizzy in the first novel, I think you will enjoy how she grows up in the novel devoted to her.
She was a brat in book one, and that was on purpose. I wanted to show how God’s love can change us, but not completely. Lizzy may always struggle, we are human, fallible, struggling. Lizzy (Elizabeth) grew up as a Christian, but didn’t know the Lord. Church had been a place for her to gather with friends and gossip. Haven’t we all met people like that?
Becoming a believer doesn’t make Elizabeth lose her backbone, but it does make her re-think how she treats people. Especially when she becomes a victim of her own brand of verbal abuse.
When I started this journey, I didn’t like her…at all. Now, she is one of my favorite characters, because I’ve seen her growth. I am editing her story right now so I can have it to you by Valentine’s Day. I can’t wait for you to get to know her better and hope you come to love her as much as I do.
