Friday Fiction Finds Kari Trumbo

I take every Friday to post a few novels I find during the week that I want to pass along to you. They may be free or discounted, they may be inexpensive at regular price. If they are particularly good and I don’t want to wait, I’ll let you know right away. Good reads should be shared with others!

If you would like to join in the fun, just copy the meme above and leave a link to your Friday finds post in the comments. (Any comments that don’t lead to a Friday Finds post will be deleted).

No price is guaranteed. Verify before downloading.

Today I am focusing on two novellas that are $.99. They are both worth more than the less than a dollar charge.

Beauty Within by Rachel Skatvold. From Amazon: After her husband dies in a tragic accident, Katherine Arnold returns to her hometown in southern Kansas, hoping for a fresh start. She longs to reconnect with family and raise her two young children in peace. But instead, she must cope with an overbearing mother playing matchmaker and a troubled teenaged sister for a roommate. As gossip about her family blazes through town like a wildfire, Katherine wonders if returning home was the right decision.

Ryan Hudson is running from dark shadows in his past. Hiding out in Brimsfield is torture for the young police officer who is used to an action filled life in the city. But for now, his only option is to stay put and hope his secret isn’t discovered.

After their first meeting ends with a parking ticket, Katherine believes Officer Hudson is determined to make her life miserable. However, after learning about his difficult past, she finds herself drawn to the handsome and mysterious stranger. Together, will this unlikely pair be able to move past their circumstances and discover the Beauty Within God’s plan? This novel can be purchased from Amazon here.

Faith Finds a Way by Annie Boone. From Amazon: Faith’s life has become boring and predictable. She’s the oldest daughter and she’s always been dependable and sensible but she thinks it’s time for a change. How far is she willing to go?

Sweetwater Creek, Georgia is recovering very slowly after the Civil War and the few men left in the small one-horse town are unacceptable mates. Her sister wants to go to Atlanta, but that doesn’t feel like the right move for Faith. Her mother doesn’t want to leave at all since her father’s grave is there.

Aaron is a single father who hasn’t recovered from his beloved wife’s untimely death. He’s depended on his in-laws to help him raise his motherless children, but he knows he’s got to take steps to be the father his Mary would have wanted him to be.

These two come to an agreement that neither of them truly understands until they’re in the middle of it. When the truth finally hits them, things hit a few snags. Will there be a magical union or will the two be unable to manage their differences? Faith Finds a Way can be purchased here.
