Review
This is a quick afternoon read that deals with a hefty subject. May is Lyme Disease awareness month, and since this book is about a families struggle with this disease, it was a good time to read it.
I know one person with dysautonomia (Lymes disease can be a cause of dysautonomia) and another two who either are now suffering or have in the past suffered from Lymes, yet did you know it is an illness that is highly argued within the medical world? If you’ve met anyone with either dysautonomia or Lymes, they will tell you how frustrating it can be to fight for a diagnosis. This book details the journey of a mother supporting her daughter through that process. I highly recommend this book for anyone curious about Lymes or similar illness or for anyone looking for a quick, heart-wrenching non-fiction read.

  1. I hope so. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to sit and watch someone you love, or to experience yourself, illness that doctors insist is in your head. 🙁

  2. I am amazed at how many people have Lyme disease. I think we are hearing more and more about this and hopefully, more medical help will occur.
