The Captured Bride, by Michelle Griep

The Captured Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower #3)The Captured Bride by Michelle Griep
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Michelle Griep is so very talented. It’s easy to picture every bit of this story because the imagery is so well-done that your mind conjures an intricate picture without even the slightest hitch to the story. And with Griep, story is king. The scenery, the characters looks/feelings/emotions all add to the tapestry, but the story…that shines.

Mercy and Elias are given an impossible task and, for lovers of historical fiction and romance, there is NOTHING that will amp up tension better than the impossible. The two are curious about each other at first, even a little hostile and that adds another layer. I loved the slow dance of these two as they discovered who they were.

Fantastic story-telling, but I’m not surprised.

    1. I consider Michelle a friend, so leaving an unbiased review is hard. But in this case, she earned every word.
